ABG Technologies Limited's e-wallet "POCKET", has received primary approval from Bangladesh Bank to operate Cash In and Cash Out functions for users, reports Daily Sun.
This is the first time in Bangladesh that any PSP (Payment Service Provider) is given primary permission from the regulatory body to perform such operations.
As a result, POCKET users will soon be able to use the Cash In and Cash Out service.
Chairman of Bashundhara Group Ahmed Akbar Sobhan was present at this groundbreaking journey on Thursday.
Ahmed Ibrahim Sobhan, Group Director of Bashundhara Group and Mostafa Azad Mohiuddin, Director of ABG Bashundhara, were also present with other senior officials of the organisation.
In addition to this, the winner of the Eid campaign "Who will win a Repsol Bike?" which ended last month was also announced. The event was held with a festive mood at the POCKET corporate office, ABG Tower.
The POCKET app can be downloaded from Google Play Store and Apple App Store. POCKET offers a physical VISA debit card that allows POS machine payments, cash withdrawal from ATM and any service that is available on a VISA Debit card.
Furthermore, various financial transactions of modern lifestyle including merchant payments, vendor payments, send money, request money, mobile recharge, credit card bill payment, salary disbursement, utility bill payment, add money from cards, banks and GOVT payments.
