Bashundhara Shuvosangho, a humanitarian initiative of Bashundhara Group, on Wednesday, launched a three-plantation campaign aiming to protect nature and environment in Patuakhali.
The campaign started at 11am while various varieties of trees were planted on the Patuakhali Government Women’s College premises.
Md Modachher Billah, principal of Patuakhali Mahila Government College, Vice-Principal Mohammad Abdul Malek, Teacher Council Secretary Md Farooq Hossain, Associate Professor Gazi Sabuj Ahmed, Lecturer Md Enamul Haque, Assistant Professor Idris Bepari, Saidul Alam, Kazi Delwar Hossain, Lecturer Sanjida Islam, Nazmunnahar Lovely, Md Zahirul Islam and Bashundhara Shuvosangho Patuakhali coordinator Saimun Rahman were also present at the event.
Principal Md Modachher Billah said “Everyone should come forward to protect the country's environment by planting trees. Because Bangladesh has to be protected from the adverse effects of climate change.”
“Bashundhara Shuvosangho is planting trees to make the country's environment more beautiful, green and better. I request Bashundhara Shuvosangho to continue this activity.”
Students of Patuakhali Government Women's College said that numerous fruit trees have been planted on the college premises. On the one hand, these trees will contribute to saving the environment and on the other hand, students will be able to enjoy the fruits of these trees. They thanked Bashundhara Shuvosangho for such an initiative.
