A number of saplings of various fruits and medicinal plants were distributed among the new members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho in Patiya upazila in Chattogram on Friday.
The saplings were distributed among 50 new members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho in the Daak Bungalow area of Patiya municipality headquarters.
While addressing the programme, Advocate Nurul Islam, president of the Bashundhara Shuvosangho Patiya Committee, highlighted the organisation’s nationwide collaboration as an exemplary model. He emphasised that this collaborative spirit led to the formation of the Patiya Upazila unit.
“We all will stand with the underprivileged people of the society and encourage others to do so,” he said, also calling upon all to plant saplings in their yards and take proper care of them.
Shuvosangho Vice Presidents Zainul Abedin, Abu Saeed Talukder Khokon, Harunur Rashid, General Secretary Saifullah Palash, Joint General Secretary Zia Uddin, Organising Secretary Afroza Sultana, Joint Organising Secretaries Ziaul Haque Rubel,
Ehsanul Haque Choton, Mizanur Rahman Sagar, Finance Secretary Md Naushad, Assistant Finance Secretaries Sanjay De Titu, Md Solaiman, Office Secretary Naureen Munira, Assistant Office Secretaries Pulak De Dipu, Moshammat Soha and Publicity Secretary Ariful Islam were also present at the programme among others.
