Shoaib Mithun, a Senior Photo Journalist at Banglanews24.com, has been diagnosed with colon cancer. To facilitate the huge treatment cost of Mithun, the Bashundhara Foundation, the non-profit and social development platform of the Bashundhara Group, has come forward. Managing Director of Bashundhara Group Sayem Sobhan Anvir on Wednesday handed over Tk. 5 lakhs to Mithun’s parents at ABG Tower in Bashundhara residential area of the capital.
Getting the financial support, Mojibur Rahman, father of Mithun, said, “I’m thankful to Bashundhara Group MD Sayem Sobhan Anvir for the help. I request everyone to pray for my son’s recovery.”
Banglanews24.com Editor Jewel Mazhar, ABG Bashundhara Director Mostafa Azad Mohiuddin, Bashundhara Group Press and Media Adviser Mohammad Abu Tayeb among others were present on the occasion.
Abu Tayeb said that Senior Photo Journalist of Banglanews24.com Shoaib Mithun has been given financial support from the Bashundhara Foundation. Through this foundation, the Bashundhara Group provides financial aid to patients of cancer, heart disease and underprivileged children and adolescents. Bashundhara Foundation has been working for decades as part of humanitarian activities.
