UK Cross Party Parliamentary Delegation Meets Bashundhara Group MD

UK Cross Party Parliamentary delegation has called on Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir.

Led by five lawmakers, the delegation met Bashundhara Group MD at his residence at Bashundhara Residential Area in the capital Sunday evening.

They hailed Bashundhara Group for contributing to the overall development of Bangladesh.

The delegates took a high of Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir for skipping the Group with unprecedented aptness and corporate acumen.    

Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan was acknowledged by them for creating huge employment and defining socioeconomic development of the country.

The delegation includes Paul Bristow MP, Paulette Hamilton MP, Antony Higginbotham MP, Jane Marion Hunt MP, Thomas Patrick Hunt MP, Councilor Alexander Turner Brentwood, Clear Insurance and Management director Rodney Flowers, Live Testing Solutions CEO Jo Lee, ZI Foundation chairman Zillur Hussain MBE, SMR vice-chairman Ivelina Banalieva,  Posh Spice Ltd chair Golap Mia and British Bangladeshi Young Talent founder Zobaer Alam.

They discussed business strategies, social outlook, adaptation with global changes, production, and use of sustainable technology of Bashundhara Group.  

Bangladesh’s bilateral cooperation with UK and expansion of trade relations with the 56 Commonwealth countries also figured in the discussion.

Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir greeted the UK Cross Party Parliamentary delegation for visiting Bangladesh.

Members of the delegation were impressed to know that Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir received education in the UK.

Thomas Patrick Hunt MP is an alumnus of the school where Sayem Sobhan Anvir studied.

During meeting, the delegates expressed strong approval of various projects of the Bashundhara Group and eagerness to work together.

UK Cross Party Parliamentary delegation came to Bangladesh following an invitation by ZI Foundation chairman Zillur Hussain MBE to pave the way for opening a mental health centre in Bangladesh.

Earlier, they called on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, top politicians and business stalwarts.

Hailing Saima Wazed Putul for playing vital role in protecting mental health, they expressed optimism about launching such a health centre in Bangladesh soon.
