Bashundhara Group, the country’s largest industrial conglomerate, has received yet another international award for its contribution to the national economy and enhancing the business standard. The group was awarded with the ‘Greatest Brand of the Year’ at the 17th edition of ‘Asia-Europe Business & Social Forum’ held at Marriott hotel in London on Tuesday.
AsiaOne Magazine organised the event styled ‘Greatest Brand and Leaders 2021-22’ to highlight the progress of Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa in social and economic aspects. At the programme, Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir was honoured with the ‘Person of the Year’ award for his leadership excellence in industries. He was nominated by United Research Services and AsiaOne Magazine for the award. On behalf of the Bashundhara Group MD, his adviser Nazmul Haque received the award. Bashundhara Group Vice-Chairman Safwan Sobhan was also honoured with the ‘Global Leader of the Year’ award for his outstanding leadership, efficiency and contribution to business as well as society. Asia Europe Business and Social Group nominated him for the award. Safwan Sobhan received the award at the gala programme. A documentary featuring the activities of Bashundhara Group was screened at the programme. All the guests were informed of the activities of Bashundhara Group. The documentary highlighted different activities of Bashundhara Group, including industrial and philanthropic ones, and media footprints with East West Media Group Ltd. The summit brought together the great leaders – government officials, ambassadors, business owners, investors, royal dignitaries and professionals, including CEOs, CFOs, CTOs and CHROs, from the Middle East, South Asia, Africa, Europe, America and Indian subcontinent. AsiaOne Media Group through its 17th ‘Asia-Europe Business & Social Forum’ highlighted the social and economical progresses of Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa. AsiaOne Media Group organised the programme with the theme “Coming Together to Collaborate for Mutual Prosperity” to focus on socioeconomic development in Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa. It also aimed at accelerating collaboration with one another to boost economic growth and sustainable development. Business and social leaders from the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Germany, India, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, China, Myanmar, Cambodia, Oman, Malaysia, Morocco, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates were present at the event. They explored new areas of economic cooperation, networking and investment opportunities worldwide, especially in the Eurasian, Gulf and African regions.
