Mohammad Siraj, who was counting days due to heart disease for lack of treatment, has got a new lease of life with medical treatment provided by Bashundhara Group. A news report on his ailment drew the attention of Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akber Sobhan. He ordered his media adviser to take step for treatment of the boy. Siraj, a six-year-old boy, was supposed to lead a sound life like other children. But he was ill and could not recover due to poverty of his parents. Siraj is one the three children born to his parents. His father was unable to arrange his treatment. Siraj was admitted to Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital on Sunday under the assistance of Bashundhara Group media wing. The boy is undergoing treatment under Dr Sirazul Islam, a pediatric consultant. He is at room no 17 in cardiology general ward. Siraj’s mother, Salma Begum, expressed her gratitude to the Bashundhara Group chairman for arranging the treatment of her son and standing by the family in a critical situation. “Now I feel Bashundhara Group is a real friend of the destitute people like us,” she said.
