We must push the country forward: Bashundhara Chairman

Ahmed Akbar Sobhan, chairman of the country's leading business conglomerate Bashundhara Group, has called for pushing the country forward in order to ensure their own development.

He made the call while addressing an Iftar party hosted by Bashundhara LP Gas Ltd (BLPGL) at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital on Saturday.

The Bashundhara Group chairman said he sees all the residents of Bashundhara residential area and the people working at Bashundhara Group as the members of his own family.

“In this sense, we have some one million members in our family,” he added.

He went on saying that Bashundhara Group has pioneered the LPG business in Bangladesh and taken the lead in this sector over the years.

“Not only in LPG business, Bashundhara Group is the best in every sector it is involved in,” he further added.

Ahmed Akbar Sobhan also called upon the employees of Bashundhara Group to continue their hard work for maintaining the success and momentum in the years to come. 

Bashundhara Group Vice-Chairman Shafiat Sobhan attended the function as the special guest.

Bashundhara LP Gas Ltd’s Head of Marketing MM Jasim Uddin, Head of Accounts and Finance Mahbub Alam, Head of Sales Mir TI Faruk Rizvi, Head of Supply Chain Abdus Shukur, Head of HR and Admin Atiquzzaman Khan, Bashundhara Group Chief Financial Development Officer Tofael Hossain and other high officials of the group were present on the occasion, among others.

More than 300 guests, including dealers and distributors of Bashundhara LP Gas Ltd (Dhaka division), attended the iftar party titled ‘Vratritter Udjapone Iftar Ayojon-2017’.

Speaking on the occasion, BLPGL high officials said their main objective is to further consolidate consumers’ confidence in Bashundhara LP Gas in the coming days.

Mentioning the contributions of dealers and distributors in reaching Bashundhara LP Gas to the doorsteps of the consumers, they said BLPGL could not have done the job so smoothly without their help.

BLPGL earlier hosted iftar parties in Chittagong, Khulna, Jessore, Dinajpur, Comilla, Narsingdi, and Narayanganj during Ramadan.
