Bashundhara Group chairman seeks equal opportunities for local, foreign entrepreneurs

Ahmed Akbar Sohan, chairman of Bashundhara Group, urged the government to ensure equal opportunities for both local and foreign entrepreneurs. He came up with the appeal while he was addressing a press conference at Ruposi Bangla Hotel in the capital on Saturday. Ahmed Akbar Sohan, president of Bangladesh Land Developers' Association (BLDA), said, “I welcome foreign investment in Bangladesh, but in the mean time the government should come forward to ensure equal opportunities for local entrepreneurs too.” "We are yet to hand over thousands of flats due to gas and electricity supply. Government should give the equal facilities to the local companies for a balanced competition," he added.
