Mats gifted to Tarakanda madrasah students for winter relief

Bashundhara Shuvosangho has gifted mats to the students at Jamia Hossainia Madinatul Ulum Madrasah and Orphanage in Tarakanda upazila of Mymensingh.

The social platform members handed over 600 square feet of mats to the orphanage students who had been struggling to study while sitting on the floor during winter mornings.

Mufti Habibur Rahman, a teacher at the madrasah, said that there were no proper seating arrangements for the students in the winter season.

“Even in the extreme cold, they had to sit on the paved floor. Upon knowing the matter, Shuvosangho members came forward to help the students,” he said.

“Now, all the students and teachers of the madrasah are overjoyed after receiving mats from Shuvosangho,” said Mufti Habibur Rahman.

Shuvosangho Tarakanda Upazila Unit President Abu Sayem, members Rafi Talukder, Nihal, Durjoy, and Pias were present on the occasion.
