Bashundhara Group managing director Sayem Sobhan Anvir gave a cheque of Tk 10 lakh to the family members of deceased photojournalist Didarul Alam in Bashundhara Residential Area in the capital recently, said a press release on Thursday.
Didarul, worked at the Chattogram bureau of Bangladesh Pratidin, died of Covid-19 on August 19.
Bangladesh Pratidin editor Naem Nizam was also present on the occasion.
Sayem Sobhan Anvir handed over the cheque to Didarul’s wife Dilruba Begum and daughter Shamanta Didar Dighi.
Rongdhanu Group chairman Rafiqul Islam, Bashundhara Group media adviser Mohammad Abu Tayeb, Kaler Kantho editor Imdadul Haq Milan, Bangladesh Pratidin editor Naem Nizam, Banglanews24.com editor Jewel Mazhar and NEWS24 head of news Rahul Raha, Chattogram Union of Journalist president Mohammad Ali and general secretary M Shamsul Islam were also present on the occasion.
