Iftar delicacies at ICCB

A large number of shoppers crowded Old Dhaka Iftar Bazaar at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital on the first day of Ramadan.
A wide array of the traditional iftar items is being displayed at the ICCB Hall-2.
Shops and eateries offer different tasty iftar items popular in old Dhaka with attractive prices.
The ICCB arranged the special event in Bashundhara Residential Area in order to bring the old Dhaka’s tradition in the new Dhaka.
On Friday, the iftar market drew a crowd of visitors who expressed happiness as they got all kinds of traditional Iftar delicacies of old Dhaka.
Iqbal Hossain Catering, Mughal E Azam, Khan’s Kitchen, Ibrahim Catering, Eldorado, Master Chef, Rangdhanu Rasui (Mehedi Mart), Foode Catering, Jahim Uddin, Badhin, Gress Food, Juice Gallery, Sharma House, Shan E Lucknow and other popular caterers are among the participants.
Hossain Mahmud of Khan’s Kitchen said people want different traditional iftar items.
“We’re getting a huge response. Hopefully, the event will become more vibrant in days to come,” he said.
Special Halim, Kalo Bhuna, chap and different meat items have great demand, he added.
Potential customers are also happy to buy traditional iftar items from the ICCB to break their fasting.
Sultana Yeasmin, a customer of Bashundhara Residential Area, said they are grateful for getting all kinds of traditional and delicious food items, especially traditional ones of old Dhaka, at the same place.
Monwar Rahman Chowdhury, operation executive of the ICCB, said they expect a huge response from customers like previous years.
A total of 59 stalls with a bunch of old Dhaka’s iftar delicacies are participating in the event, he said.
