As part of the countrywide safety campaign titled �Safe Home�, Bashundhara LP Gas held a programme at Kushtia to raise awareness about the safe use of LP gas and prevent any accident involving the gas cylinder. A number of homemakers joined the campaign held at Palki restaurant in the town on Tuesday, reports banglanews24.com. BLPGL and SICL General Manager (sales) Mir TI Faruk, Divisional Sales Manager of Bashundhara LP Gas Habibur Rahman Habib, Md Arif Siddique of Brand Division, and distributor of Bashundhara LP Gas in Kushtia region Tanu Ahmed spoke on the occasion. They said LP gas cylinder marketing companies should ensure standard quality of their services in order to prevent explosions of gas cylinder. At the same time, awareness should also be raised among the users of LP gas. The speakers also said some unscrupulous businessmen are illegally refilling and marketing branded cylinders, resulting in cylinder leakage and accidents. Public opinion should be mobilised against such illegal practice, they added. At the programme, prizes were distributed among the participants through a lottery draw. The first prize went to Sarida Sharmin Shair while Shahida Akter Chanda and Sumona got second and third prizes respectively. Bashundhara Group has been carrying out the safety campaign as part of its corporate responsibility. The �Safe Home� campaigns have already been held in Bogra, Natore, Dinajpur, Noagoan, Gaibandha and Chapainawabganj.
