Bashundhara Eye Hospital,Vision Care Foundation hold free eye camp

A daylong free eye camp diagnosed most minor children with refractive errors and allergic conjunctivitis in the capital on Saturday.
Bashundhara Eye Hospital & Research Institute and Vision Care Foundation jointly organised the eye camp at Kalachandpur High School of Gulshan in the capital on Saturday morning.
A six-member team, led by eye and contact lens specialist Dr Abdul Khaleque, conducted the camp.
Specialist Khaleque said during diagnosis they found most of the minor students suffering from refractive errors and allergic conjunctivitis
Honorary Director of Bashundhara Eye Hospital & Research Institute Prof Dr Md Saleh Ahmed was also on the six-member team that conducted the eye camp.
He said they had provided primary aid at the camp. Those who require further treatment were referred to hospital.
A total of 230 guardians, students and other people of different ages came to receive treatment at the school premises.

Manager of the hospital Mohammad Ahsan Habib said they provided free treatment to 230 people at the camp.
He said of them, five patients need cataract operation and they have been referred to Bashundhara Eye Hospital & Research Institute.
These patients will get cataract operations and other higher treatment at the hospital for free of cost, he added.
Talking to daily sun, Joshna Rani Das, who came to the camp along with her child Saddajit Das, said she and her child had been suffering from vision problem for so long.
“We are happy to get free treatment,” she added.
