Bangladesh Pratidin highest circulated daily

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Sunday told parliament that Bangladesh Pratidin topped the list of the highest circulated dailies in the country out of 528 newspapers published from Dhaka and elsewhere.
“Bangladesh Pratidin has been the highest circulated daily with 5.53 lakh circulation,” Inu told parliament while responding to a written question of treasury bench lawmaker AFM Bahauddin Nasim.
Among the English dailies, the Daily Star tops the list with a 41.45 thousand circulation while daily sun has been the forth circulated newspaper with 32,800 copies.
Prothom Alo and Kaler Kantha have been the second and third largest circulated newspapers with 5.1 lakh and 2.50 lakh copies respectively.
Other highest circulating Bangla dailies are Janakantha 2.23 lakh, Amader Samoy 2,22,700, Jugantor 2,21,650, Ittefaq 1,94,600, Samakal 1,64,350, Bhorer Kagaj 1,61,150 and Manabkantha with 1.61 lakh.
Of the English dailies, Financial Express and New Age have the second and third highest circulated dailies with 35,050 and 33,000 copies respectively.
The Daily Observer, The Independent, Dhaka Tribune, News Today and Bangladesh Today have been in the list of top ten respectively.
Of the newspapers, some 245 newspapers have been published from Dhaka while the rest have been published from district towns.
The minister also said that these newspapers implemented the 8th Wage Board Award.
