All-round Shakib content with his performance
When he was about to start his bowling in the first Test against Zimbabwe at Mirpur the cheer from the crowd “Shakib..Shakib” needs to reason to explain. The 27 year old returned from a six months suspension after reducing it to three the poster of Bangladesh cricket immediately took the limelight from others not for his off the field incident but by his performance.

Australia’s Mitchell Johnson is the only other cricketer to score 255 runs and picked up 16 wickets against South Africa in 2008.
However the Magura lad had the chance to register his name as the only cricketer to pick twenty wickets and scoring 250 runs in a three match series but surprisingly skipper Mushfiqur Rahim used his premier bowler for only eight overs on the fifth day.
But usually an outspoken person Shakib informed that he had no regrets not to achieve the feat, “I have no regrets if I wouldn’t take ten wickets instead of seventeen in the first two Tests? It requires luck which I did not had in this match. I had no regrets for that but I would feel good if I could take the wickets,” said Shakib.
The champion all rounder who seems to hide his emotions since he returned from his suspension informed that he never set any target before a series, “I never set any target before a series and at times the target varies according to situation. As I previously told that it feels good to contribute for the side similarly I feel bad if I could not perform,” he said.
Shakib who still thinks he could have perform better than what he did however said he is satisfied by his performance in the series, “Actually I never analyze this things before what I think is if I could bowl a bit better or score some more runs but overall I am satisfied with my performance,” told Shakib.
